Dear Trinity Parents,
Greetings again, from the principal’s office. The year has started off very well with all the students now in their routine of classes and activities. The students seemed to be focused on learning and have their attention directed to the completion of tasks. Communication is the foundation for complete understanding between student, parent, teacher, and administrator. I strongly encourage all parents to get involved in their son/daughter’s education by voicing any concerns immediately, either directly with a teacher or myself. This will always help in clarifying small concerns before they develop into something larger. I sincerely believe that you as parents are the number one facilitator of educational excellence.
Trinity Bands Perform at State Fair
Congratulations to our Trinity High School and Junior High Bands who marched downtown Monday and Wednesday for the State Fair. The High School Band received a “I” rating and the Junior High band received a “II” rating for their performances. These are great achievements to all participants and Trinity’s band instructor Mr. Mark Robinson! Again, congratulations and thank you for your hard work and a job well done!!

Sportmanship
Since we are now into the sports season. I would like to remind all parents and fans of the importance of good sportsmanship. Positive citizenship/sportsmanship can be promoted, taught, and modeled in the classroom, in the community and in all competitive activities. Our school’s efforts to display this behavior will be characterized by generosity and genuine concern for others. Parents and fans can be our best role models - or our worst. Remember - athletics are for the students. Let’s support them by yelling to show support and encouragement, not with negative comments at our athletes, guests, or officials.
Asbestos Warning
Each school year we are asked by the State of Kansas to give warning to our parents about the possibility of asbestos being in our building. Several older buildings have considerable amounts of asbestos located in their tile floors and ceilings. Trinity, however, has been fortunate to have very little asbestos in any part of the building. Inspections occur on a regular basis according to state regulations
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
This year is off to another terrific start. Students have settled into their classes and I have been busy organizing academic conferences with our Senior students. Once those are completed, Junior conferences will then begin. It is important that students begin early thinking about their future goals and aspirations. This year will bring a continued commitment in assisting all our students in college and career exploration and preparation.
